Member airline overviews
American Airlines is a founding member of oneworld. American and its affiliates operate from major hubs across the USA, including Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington DC, to more than 330 destinations in 50 countries.
Qatar Airways, one of the world’s fastest growing and most highly rated airlines, joined the oneworld alliance on 30 October 2013. At that time, it operated a modern fleet of 130 aircraft, serving more than 130 key business and leisure destinations worldwide. Named Airline of the Year by the Skytrax independent airline quality rating agency in both 2012 and 2011 and runner-up in 2013, it is also Skytrax’s Best Middle East Airline for seven years running and has retained Skytrax’s five star quality ranking since 2004.
Established in 1946, Cathay Pacific Airways is Hong Kong’s flagship carrier and a founding member of the oneworld alliance. The airline serves some 80 destinations in more than 30 countries across Asia, the Pacific, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. Cathay Pacific affiliate Dragonair, reaching more than 30 destinations throughout Asia, including almost 20 in Mainland China, is also a member of oneworld.
British Airways is one of the world’s most recognized airlines and a founding member of the oneworld alliance. The airline and its affiliates service more than 170 destinations in nearly 80 countries throughout Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia, with its main hub London Heathrow.
Iberia is Spain’s flagship airline and the leading carrier between Europe and Latin America. It joined oneworld in 1999. From its Madrid hub, it flies to almost 120 destinations in 45 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
Established in 1951, Japan Airlines is one of the world’s premier carriers. It joined the oneworld alliance in 2007. The airline has major hubs at Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Okinawa, and operates almost 900 daily flights to more than 70 destinations across 20 countries.
Widely recognized as Latin America’s leading airline group, LATAM Airlines was created through the merger of LAN Airlines, TAM Airlines and their affiliates, with hubs at Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Lima, Quito and Guayaquil.
Malaysia Airlines, which joined oneworld in 2013, is one of the few airlines worldwide rated five-star by Skytrax, which has also honored the airline for having the World’s Best Cabin Staff. With its main operating hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines flies to more than 60 destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
Qantas is one of the world’s most recognized airlines and a founding member of the oneworld alliance. It serves almost 80 destinations in 20 countries. As the only Australian airline in any global airline alliance, it offers an extensive domestic network besides serving points in Asia, the South Pacific, Europe, North and South America and Africa.
Established in 1923, Finnair is Finland’s flagship carrier. It joined the oneworld alliance in 1999. The airline flies to more than 65 destinations in 30 countries, including an increasing number of longhaul international flights to and from Asia, with its Helsinki hub ideally placed as a gateway between the Far East and Europe.
Royal Jordanian is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Jordan and joined the oneworld alliance in 2007. It serves some 60 destinations in 40 countries throughout the Middle East — where it offers one of the most extensive networks of any airline — and to Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
S7 Airlines is Russia’s largest domestic carrier. It joined theoneworld alliance in 2010. Based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, the airline operates flights to more than 80 destinations in 20 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia (including 45 destinations in Russia).
SriLankan Airlines joined oneworld on 1 May 2014. It is not just the flagcarrier for Sri Lanka but also the largest international airline serving the Maldives and with a significant presences also in Southern India.

Earning and redeeming
If you are a member of American Airlines AAdvantage® Program, British Airways Executive Club, Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club, Finnair Plus, JAL Mileage Bank, Iberia Plus, LANPASS, Malaysia Airlines Enrich, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Royal Jordanian Royal Plus, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, TAM Fidelidade, and SriLankan Airlines FlySmiLes or S7 Priority, your rewards and privileges are extended throughout the oneworld® alliance.
You will earn miles in your own programme whenever you travel on eligible flights and fares of any oneworld alliance airline. Qualifying flights will also count towards advancing or maintaining your tier status. And, when you are ready to redeem your rewards, you can do so across the alliance's worldwide network, with some 850 destinations across the globe.

Representatives from our member airlines are on hand to ensure your journey is as smooth as possible whenever you transfer between our member airlines' flights, from checking in your luggage to your final destination to helping you find the right lounge.
oneworld transfer counters and service desks are located in key airports around the world and are clearly marked with the oneworld logo for easy identification.
Connecting between airlines at unfamiliar airports can be a stressful experience, especially if your flight is delayed. oneworld recognises the impact delays and missed connections can have on your plans and on your life. That is why oneworld member airlines have partnered together to form teams of connection experts: oneworld Global Support.
At select airports across the alliance network, teams are proactively monitoring connecting flights and, whenever possible, they will meet and assist you if your connection is in jeopardy. The oneworld Global Support teams will do their best to allow you to use dedicated fast track lanes through immigration or security to help you catch your next flight. Our teams will also do everything possible to transfer your baggage so that it makes it on time to your final destination.
If you miss your connecting flight, the oneworld Global Support team will provide you with updated travel information, a new boarding pass and, where applicable, assistance with overnight accommodations.
oneworld Global Support is currently available at London Heathrow, Madrid-Barajas, New York JFK, Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles, and Sydney. The service is offered at these airports whenever possible, subject to operational constraints.
